Let’s visit a recent remodel in the hills of La Jolla, CA. This Kitchen Remodel provided much needed space and a properly convenient location for the refrigerator, which was previously in front of the stairs, moving it to a more centralized space to make food prep easier. The condo lacked an entry area, so another feature we added is a wall cabinet facing the front door which provided a space to showcase our artistic client’s beautiful work. The other side of the cabinet serves as storage for our client’s many cookbooks. We also provided added storage by installing drawer base cabinets on the entire peninsula area and pull-out sliding pantry cabinets.

In another home located in La Jolla Cove our client needed a durable dining table that could function as a craft and play table for her young child. To achieve this, the dining table was custom built by a finish carpenter using a coating of aircraft paint. We also found an upholsterer who built a custom banquette bench to the exact dimensions of her kitchen island.
We continued this remodel by providing contemporary furniture selections which included a soft medium gray sofa, and Scandinavian off-white leather chairs with a buffet cabinet and coffee table. We tied it together with a multicolored Pottery Barn rug. For the new bathroom design, we used a 3×10 white subway tile with a multicolored glass mosaic trim.

Raelene showed up on time and presented us with several options. We wanted her to take care of all of the details as my wife gets easily overwhelmed by all of the choices. She gave us a good layout by CAD and we were able to decide on tile, countertop, faucets, etc in 2 visits. We will be using her husband in August to do the work. Their bid was priced in the middle of the 4 bids we got, but we liked Phil’s attention to detail and calm demeanor so that is why we chose him to do the work.
